Great workshop, James was a very patient instructor and knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get a feel of Blacksmithing and take home a decorative and functional piece.
Can’t rate this experience highly enough. It’s not for the faint hearted- you get straight on in to the danger and heavy lifting ( hammers and the forge!) but isn’t it what it is all about? As a complete novice I left with a perfectly serviceable and almost attractive spoon that I’ll be using for the rest of my life. Our teacher James, was brilliant. Encouraging, funny and inclusive . He was gentle with my young teenage son who also made a smashing spoon. We want to come back for more!
