A great 4 days lead by very skilled smiths. Alec and Matt were masters at moving the diverse group through a physically challenging, but hugely rewarding course. Walking away with the knowledge, skills and tools to create more unique items reaffirmed my interest and passion in metal. The scenery of old gigantic steel machinery and tooling was inspiring. To know that so people many have used the facility, and continue to do so, is just awesome. I will definatley be back.
Fantastic course, excellent instructor, great company and a terrific facility. Will definitely be signing up for future courses.
To be able to learn traditional skills in such historic surroundings where time has stood still for the last 100 years is extremely satisfying.
Congratulations to Bruce, Matt, Louis & Cat for the organisation of this course & for obtaining such a skilled & enthusiastic master blacksmith as our instructor. Cann't wait for my next venture to Eveleigh Railway Works.
Oh wow, what a fantastic Masterclass on the Blacksmiths Toolbox by Alec Steele. From beginning to end it was jam packed and I'm so glad I managed to get a place. Alec was so enthusiastic and so were we, his instructions clear and demonstrations just wonderful to watch. We were all successful in coming away with all the tools needed to make another hammer at home. Tea/coffee/biscuits/fruit provided each morning and lunch everyday, so great to have this on site, so no time lost trekking/queuing elsewhere. Mat, Louis and Cat went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying ourselves. Would I recommend this class........most definitely !!!!!!!! It was worth every single $ and more. Woo Hoo, I'm very happy !!
