Very informative, very comprehensive and tailored to each person's learning pace. Would certainly recommend for anyone interested in the basics of blacksmithing. My personal highlight was seeing my finished job and knowing I made it. Thanks again Matt and Louis!
Many useful basics about forging, bending, shaping and working with iron. This comes from a complete novice, left the workshop feeling I could tackle projects on my own.
Such an incredible experience and extremely grateful for being taught by Matt, who is a true craftsman. We learnt some of the basic ways to forge metal and feel confident to go back again with some skills. My favourite part was the hot riveting and edge bevelling. Loved the atmosphere in the space, being such a unique place full of so much history. There would be few places like it left in the world. Matt was very attentive and helped us all achieve the correct techniques. He answered all questions with full explanation and guided us through skills that were difficult. I'll be defintely going back to Eveleigh Works for more! It's incredible to create something so solid that will last a lifetime, need to keep this craft alive.
