I would highly recommend the blacksmiths forging hammer course to anyone interested or curious about starting to learn how to smith. the class was easy to follow and a great learning experience. the instructor James was brilliant, skilled in his craft and took the time to make sure that everyone was safe and not falling behind on the project. the hammers themselves where able to be customised to a degree where everyone in the class had a unique and personal tool. Eveleigh Works is an amazing workshop with great history. I will definitely be coming back for another course in the future.
My friends gifted me the Forging Hammer course for my 30th Birthday. It was a Great Day! James was a fantastic teacher, encouraging us to take as much time as we needed. He was very knowledgeable about his trade and the history of the Locomotive workshops, and happy for us to ask questions about both. The course was very well paced and I was surprised how quick the day went in the end. Would totally recommend and will be looking at doing another course in the future!!!
